First Step Preschool Inc. offers a developmentally age appropriate program for 15 months to 6 years olds, with learning experiences to enhance the child's potential for growth and success during the early childhood years. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our philosophy is that children be provided with a program that is:

• Positive in its introduction to teachers, classroom routine, group play and more organized learning.


• Developmentally appropriate with learning experiences to enhance their ability to make decisions and solve problems.


• Attentive to the social, emotional, cognitive, intellectual and physical need of each child.

The "I AM!" comes through the development of the child's self-esteem--knowing that he is needed, wanted, liked, LOVED-at all times, in all things, BEING ACCEPTED AS IS. When the child feels good about himself(self esteem), he can approach each new experience with confidence and be successful. Each new success strengthens the "I CAN!" which, in turn reinforces the "I AM!".
